Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026 · Version: 1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the TradesFlow Platform. It forms part of, and uses the same definitions as, our Terms of Service. It applies to all users — customers, traders, and visitors.
1. General conduct
You must use the Platform lawfully, honestly, and respectfully. You must not use it in any way that breaks the law, infringes others' rights, or harms TradesFlow, its users, or its systems.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
You must not:
- post false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating information, or fake reviews;
- harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, or defame any person;
- post unlawful, obscene, hateful, or harmful content;
- upload anyone's personal data without a lawful basis, or share another user's data beyond
what a job requires;
- infringe intellectual property or other rights;
- advertise unrelated goods or services, or spam other users.
3. No off-platform bypass (anti-circumvention)
For jobs that originate on TradesFlow, you must keep communication and payment on the Platform. You must not:
- ask for or share personal contact details to move a job off-Platform;
- solicit or make payment outside the Platform to avoid the platform fee, escrow, or
protections;
- otherwise try to circumvent fees, escrow, dispute handling, or verification.
Off-platform dealing removes escrow and dispute protection for both parties, and we use automated filters and monitoring to detect it. Breach may lead to warnings, restrictions, withheld payouts, suspension, or account removal, and recovery of avoided fees.
4. Safety and trades-specific rules
- Traders must only carry out work they are competent, qualified, and (where required by law)
registered and certified to do, and must follow health & safety and building regulations.
- Customers must provide safe and lawful access and working conditions.
- No one may use the Platform to arrange unsafe, unlawful, or uninsured work.
5. Security
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, probe or scan it, bypass security or rate limits, introduce malware, scrape data at scale, reverse engineer the software, or interfere with its operation or other users' use of it.
6. Payments integrity
You must not misuse the payment, escrow, or refund systems, make fraudulent payments or chargebacks, launder money, or use the Platform to disguise the source of funds.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and take action including content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, withholding payouts, suspending or terminating accounts, recovering losses, and reporting to authorities. Serious or repeated breaches will normally result in permanent removal.
